Ultimate Bet Owns Up To Cheating Scandal, Pays Back Millions
Ultimate Bet has released a statement today acknowledging the claims that cheating had taken place on their popular online poker site. High stakes players became suspicious after account "NioNio" went on a hot streak which could not be explained by mere variance. After much investigation, UB admitted that there in fact was cheating taking place in the form of a "superuser" account in which developers could see the hole cards of everyone at the table, a huge advantage.

Back in San Jose
I arrived at my apartment after the tourney in Jaco to find 14 strange messages on my machine. They were all around 1am and were guys talking in Spanish in the background, saying things like, "nobody's there, lets go." It has me paranoid because I live in front of a park and stupidly had my huge monitor sitting in full view with the shades open the whole week I was at the beach.

WPS Trip Report: Russian Mike and the Main Event
The biggest tourney I ever played was something like a $500 buy-in, so the $2,500 ME was definitely the biggest I'd ever been in. About 50 players started with $7,500 in chips with 1 hour rounds. Having little tourney experience and winning the seat in a satellite, I didn't really take it too seriously.

Interaccount Transfers Between Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet
This is kind of old news, but Absolute has recently added the ability to make transfers between your Ultimate Bet account and AP account and vice-versa. The minimum transfer is $50 and the maximum $5000.

Phil Lak and Ali Eslami to Play Super Bot "Polaris"
The first official "Man vs. Machine Poker Championship" will be played between poker pros Phil Lak and Ali Elami against a poker playing computer called Polaris. The program was created by a team of researchers at the University of Alberta. Neteller Co-Founder Lefebvre Has His Day In Court
